- Resolution 2118 (2013) by which the Security Council, inter alia, called for the full implementation of the 27 September decision of the OPCW Executive Council, which contains special procedures for the expeditious and verifiable destruction of Syria’s chemical weapons, authorized an advance team of UN personnel to provide early assistance to the OPCW activities in Syria and requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Council recommendations regarding the role of the United Nations in eliminating the Syrian Arab Republic’s chemical weapons programme [S/RES/2118 (2013)] of 27 September 2013
